Settings screen¶
Signed-in subscribers manage their own account at /settings/ on the frontend.
They never need access to wp-admin.
The route needs a permalink flush
/settings/ is registered as a rewrite endpoint. If it 404s, save
Settings → Permalinks once. See Installation.
What subscribers control¶
| Area | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Choose their digest frequency: instant, daily, weekly, or monthly |
| Subscription | View their current tier, change tiers, open the Stripe customer portal |
| Feeds | Read and copy their personal private feed URL |
| Avatar | Upload a local avatar image |
Notification frequency¶
The four intervals are documented in detail on Digest emails. Changing the interval takes effect on the next processing run; it does not retroactively resend anything.
Subscription management¶
For free tiers, changing tiers is immediate. For paid tiers the change goes through Stripe — either a new Checkout session or the Stripe customer portal, depending on whether they are starting or modifying a subscription. See Tiers and Stripe.
Feeds¶
The Feeds panel shows the subscriber's personal feed URL, of the form:
This URL is a credential — anyone holding it can read everything that subscriber can read. See Private feeds.
Below it, one URL per enabled post type (.../{token}/post/ for blog posts,
.../{token}/cp_status/, and so on) lets the subscriber follow a single content
type. They all share the same token. Each row has a copy button that puts the
URL on the clipboard.
Local avatars¶
Loveshack stores uploaded avatars locally rather than depending on Gravatar. A subscriber who has uploaded an avatar has it used consistently across the site and in digest emails.
