Changelog¶
The authoritative changelog lives in the theme's readme.txt. This page mirrors
it for the version selected in the header.
1.2.7¶
- Visitors can buy a paid tier before they have an account. Stripe Checkout collects the email, and the account is created from the completed payment, confirmed, and signed in on return. See Tiers and Stripe.
1.2.6¶
- Latest Releases shows relative dates while a release is recent, falling back to the site date format after a week.
1.2.5¶
- Latest Releases shows the release date in place of the package file name.
1.2.4¶
- Added a sticky Latest Releases item to the top of the home stream, listing the newest release per product for visitors who can download it.
1.2.3¶
- Split release cards into a stream teaser and a full release page at
/release/<name-version>/.
1.2.2¶
- Published Update API releases appear in the stream as Release items, with the product name, version, teaser, and a download button. Access follows the subscription tier allowed for the product. See Stream post types.
1.2.1¶
- Shortened and centered the subscription card buttons across the subscribe screen and the Subscriptions block.
1.2.0¶
- Renamed the Loveshack General screen to Dashboard.
- Added Loveshack Analytics and Loveshack Setup Checklist widgets to the WordPress dashboard. Both are shown by default and can be hidden under Screen Options.
- Stream post text and teasers are written in Markdown. The source is stored as written, converted on render, and previewed live from the editor. Existing HTML is passed through untouched. See Writing in Markdown.
- Added a Timestamp format setting for stream cards, including relative formats that fall back to the site date format. See Stream layout.
- Added a Customize link to the Loveshack menu, which opens the Customizer and returns to the admin page you started from.
1.1.0¶
Released as 1.1.x. Individual patches were not tagged, so the line is summarized here.
- Stripe is the source of truth for subscription tiers: tiers are imported from Stripe products and prices, all billing intervals are supported, and gating works across multiple tiers with thresholds.
- Added a subscriber overview and email-based Stripe reconciliation for records that drift.
- Added ALTCHA spam protection to the subscriber form, revealed only when it is needed.
- Moved theme update credentials to a verified Theme Updates screen and added an authenticated update mechanism.
- Added analytics and a setup checklist to the Loveshack admin screen.
- Social links are managed as an ordered list on their own admin screen, with per-item icons, instead of fixed Customizer fields. See Social media links.
- Stream permalinks are flat; nested permalinks from earlier threads redirect to them.
- Added subscription onboarding, post scheduling, and subscriber cadence and registration notifications.
- Added a configurable proxy fallback for blocked link previews.
- Added per-slot typography smoothing and override toggles, sticky card color overrides, inherited stream display controls, and global post Customizer defaults.
- Added an HTML logo style with an animated ASCII heart.
- Added a versioned documentation site at docs.loveshack.dev.
1.0.0¶
- Added subscriber settings, passwordless subscriber flows, gated content, paid tiers, Stripe integration, private subscriber RSS feeds, and scheduled subscriber digest emails.
- Public RSS feeds now exclude gated posts.
- Added frontend subscription and feed management screens.
- Added local avatar support and subscriber header affordances.
0.0.1¶
- Initial public release.
Keeping this page current
When you bump the theme version, add the release notes to readme.txt as
usual and mirror them here in the same commit. Because the docs are versioned
from the same branch as the code, this page always describes the release the
reader has selected.
